Information I was born in Mexico City, and since 2003 I live in Santiago de Chile, together with Martha, my wife and my two daughters, Edurne and Natalia. I studied computer systems, and work in that area to a company belonging to an international financial group.

Since childhood I have been related to the art of one form or another, always expressing a concern, first as part of my games, then as part of a need to find a way to express myself. So I combined my games making and unmaking figures in clay, up to produce busts of Beethoven and Lennon.

PAINTING AND DRAWING

At the end of my adolescence, I began to do some things with watercolor on cardboard, even on paper, but I wanted to venture into something else. My friend Javier Perez walked me to buy my first paintings and canvas to the center of the city. Incursion a bit on the technique of oil but did not meet my expectations. Eventually I discovered acrylic, and is the technique we use today. I have done some things tabi with ink, charcoal and pencil drawing.

Some works were put away in Mexico, ink drawings and paintings, which I can not show here.

I've never studied painting, my technique is based on my natural ability, experience, mistakes on the fly queries in books and the occasional hit.

NARRATIVE AND STORY

I started writing when I was about 22 years, mainly short stories and some small intimate essays and poems. But the unrest continued for some time until I joined a workshop on narrative dictated by Rodrigo Madrazo, Mexico City.

All the stories presented here are in that stage, and are the result of my activity in this workshop. Some other stories and an essay called "Letters to oblivion" was lost during moving house and life. Currently I do not write stories or stories, I have pending a novel waiting time to rediscover calm and inspiration.

However, I still need to write assaulted, so I created my blog Shipwrecks Breves, to pretend to be a space to express a series of essays on various topics, various ramblings and nonsense. And who knows, maybe some new history.

PHOTOGRAPHY

In 2005 I had to travel alone to Mexico for 6 months for work without my family knew I expected a difficult season. I was able to buy my first digital computer, a Minolta Z1. With it, the weekend, I walked the streets of Queretaro as any tourist. Chile returned to happy about the photos he had done. The following year I had to return again, but my photos do not satisfy me, I needed something more, so I bought some books on photography. Soon it was my first digital SLR.

So I started a search for a new language, a new form of expression, to narrate. I joined the Film Club of Chile Photo, dabbled in some photography forums, I continued reading books and I specialized in black and white photography.

I have taught some courses at the Photo Cine Club de Chile and particularly some fellow club members. I have done photographic work for Gonzalo psotproducción Padilla, with whom he has won some awards in international shows, and I am participating in TRIMAGEN, a center for photographic development. This experience I wanted to share with my blog Digital Daguerreotypes, where little by little I'll show some recommendations, tips and tutorials for anyone who wants to improve in this activity.

I've had some exposure, I won some contests and exhibitions, but that's not important to me. My commitment is with me, with its own language, with my particular world view. Of all the arts I do, photography has become the principal, which has given me more satisfaction, and I find the greatest satisfaction, without neglecting any other.
